INDUSTRY & CONSTRUCTION COMMITTEE
- Industry & Construction Committee

It consists of 6 members of the council and monitors 5 departments and/or institutes such as Economy & Science Bureau, Transportation & Construction Bureau, City and Housing Bureau, Agricultural Technology Center and Construction Management Office.
- Focusing on balanced local economy, competent capability and balanced development

Firstly, the committee focuses on increasing the capabilities of the local economy, such as developing new policies and fostering international exchange expansion and the Daedeok R&D Special District, in order to reorganize the city to play a pivotal role corresponding to the new paradigm. Secondly, the committee is especially interested in promoting various projects to foster balanced local development from the well-harmonized old downtown area, new downtown area and underdeveloped areas. This will allow for lively city planning, sustainable bio-city construction and will be centralized around the downtown core; a plan to prepare the city for the next generation. Thirdly, the committee completely promotes city infrastructure such as public transportation facilities, city rail construction and industrial complex construction and road expansion. It is also responsible for dynamically supervising and monitoring field-oriented activities such as large business fields in order to organize an open committee. Finally, on behalf of the residents the committee collects all capabilities, checks the reinforcement organizations so that every resident may feel proud of having the council open to the public and will do its best to be productive.
