Administrative & Self-Governing Committee

It consists of 6 members of the council and this committee monitors 7 departments such as planning and management office, self-governing bureau, culture, sports and tourism bureau, PR office, Auditing office and public servant training center, Daejeon city development corporation, a local corporation, Daejeon EXPO Park, Facilities Management Corporation and Daejeon Express Transit Corporation.

Resident Participation Administration and Ombudsman

This committee is directly engaged in supervising and monitoring the administrative departments playing pivotal roles in the municipal government, and offering opinions and suggestions in the interest of general public to win public confidence. By maintaining a strict watch over areas of personal concern to the lives of residents such as community centers, we will be able to solve any complaints raised and invite non-governmental organizations to participate in the administration, reinforcing the cornerstone of community-based self government. Additionally, the committee leads the education of officials to increase their competitiveness in this knowledge-based society and the fair promotion system, stimulates morale, establishes fundamental principles, forms a desirable culture of public organization and prepares cyber work by advocating for residents and systemizing administrative information. Finally, the committee is thoroughly preparing for the 90th National Games in 2009, by overseeing the construction of the convention center and local festivals and encouraging organizations to hold nationwide culture & artistic events.
